The Christmas season is about to begin

The Christmas season does not end on December 25. Rather, that is when it begins. The liturgical season of Christmas begins with the vigil Masses on Christmas Eve and concludes on the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord.

The US Conference of Catholic Bishops has an on-line Christmas calendar that provides daily suggestions to enrich our faith and spirituality during this season. You can see it here.

After Christmas

A Christmas Poem

When the song of the angels is stilled,
When the star in the sky is gone,
When the kings and princes are home,
When the shepherds are back with their flock,

The work of Christmas begins:
To find the lost,
To heal the broken,
To feed the hungry,
To release the prisoner,
To rebuild the nations,
To bring peace among others,
To make music in the heart.
