Disinformation Nation
It is no secret that misinformation is on the rise. Unfortunately, this involves not only what is happening today, but also the way that some are portraying our nation’s history.
The Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law will address the latter issue at 6 p.m. on April 20 with a free webinar entitled Disinformation Nation: How Partisan Politicians Distort History.
It will feature historians featured a new book, Myth America: Historians Take On the Biggest Legends and Lies About Our Past. In a collection of 20 essays from top historians, this important text shows how some “have used revisionist history to fan the flames of politicization and unravel the seams of democracy.”
