Schedule for Catholics at the Capitol

Catholics at the Capitol — Wednesday, March 19
       
 8:30A.M.– REGISTRATION OPENS
Outside Convention Center

9:00 A.M. – LEGISLATIVE MEETINGS BEGIN (continue throughout the day)
Legislative Office Building and State Capitol
Some participants will attend pre-scheduled meetings with elected representatives.

10:30 – 11:15 A.M. – PRESENTATION: FAITHFUL CITIZENSHIP AND ‘THE POWER OF ONE’
Convention Hall

11:15 – 11:30 A.M. – AWARD PRESENTATIONS
Convention Hall

11:30 – 12:00 P.M. -  LUNCH
Boxed Lunches will be served in the Convention Center where you may sit to dine or take your lunch to Meeting Room 6 to enjoy it there!

12:00 P.M. – PRAYER RALLY hosted by the KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
Convention Hall
The New York State Council of the K of C, led by State Deputy Carmine Musumeci, will be praying the Rosary for all those advocating with lawmakers. Come join them!

1:00 P.M. – ROSARY PROCESSION
from the Convention Center to the Cathedral
led by the Knights of Columbus

1:30 P.M. – MASS
PRINCIPAL CELEBRANT: TIMOTHY CARDINAL DOLAN
Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Madison Avenue

3:00 P.M. – BUSES DEPART

Save the date

March 19 is the New York State Catholic Conference’s 2014 public policy day, Catholics at the Capitol. It will be at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany. To register, go here.
Join with the Cardinal Dolan and the Bishops of New York State for a day of workshops and advocacy on issues of grave importance. Many participants will meet with their legislators. Others will be a visible symbol of Catholic unity in the halls of the state Capitol. Everyone will participate in Mass with the Bishops. Lunch will be provided. There is no registration fee, although donations to offset costs are gratefully appreciated . . .
